Digital Conference

Join us for a practical and inspiring morning session to explore how digital tools, technology and AI can support mission, ministry and community engagement.

Course description

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to build on existing work, this online conference will help you discover new ways to connect with your community, communicate your message and make the most of digital opportunities.

Through keynote sessions, real-life examples and practical workshops, we’ll explore topics including AI, church social media, making digital work for your church, design and communications. You’ll leave with fresh ideas, useful tools and practical steps you can take back to your church.

Guest Speakers

Matt Batten – Director of Communications, Diocese of Bangor

A specialist in church communications and digital theology, Matt will explore the opportunities and challenges of AI for churches, helping attendees understand how emerging technologies can support mission, ministry and communication.

Joe Hartropp – Digital Labs Manager, Church of England

Joe heads up the Digital Labs at the Church of England. He has delivered diverse training on digital tools and opportunities for churches. Before this role he worked in digital marketing, website management and copywriting, delivering content and strategies for a range of audiences in and outside the Church. He also has a background in academic theology and enjoys wrestling with the bigger questions of how digital tools shape us as well as help us. When not doing any of the above, you might find him treading the boards with some am-dram musical theatre.

The morning will feature keynote sessions from Matt Batten and Joe Hartropp, exploring how AI and digital tools can support mission, ministry and community engagement.
