This online event is part of a series of sessions led by the Diocese of Salisbury Vocations Team for those who are exploring whether God might be leading them in a new direction, and focuses on lay ministry.
Following an introduction from Bishop Karen as Bishop for Lay Ministry, Karen Hutchinson (Vocations Coordinator) and Fiona Hedges (LLM) will share some general information about discernment and training for lay ministry, whether licensed or commissioned.
Lay Ministers of various kinds will share their own experience and be available for your questions.
Who is this event suitable for?
This session is open to anyone in the Diocese of Salisbury wondering whether God might be calling them to ministry as a Licensed Lay Minister, Lay Pastoral Assistant, Anna Chaplain or Lay Worship Leader.
When and where:
The session will be held online via Zoom on Monday 9th February, and will run from 7 pm to 8.30 pm. You will be sent the link to join ahead of the event.

Your Hosts
Bishop Karen is the Bishop of Sherborne and also Warden of Licensed Lay Ministers for the whole diocese.
Revd Canon Karen Hutchinson supports and enables the growth of vocations to a range of ministries. She is also Associate Priest in the parish of Bemerton and a former Warden of LLMs.
Fiona Hedges is a Licensed Lay Minister in the Stour Vale benefice and a Discernment Adviser for potential LLMs in the Diocese of Salisbury.
