This online event provides information about a new pathway into ordained self-supporting local ministry for older candidates.
As part of the changing landscape of the church it seems that God is calling and equipping leaders who are stirred by and wish to remain committed to their local context. The national church has responded to this by creating the Elizabeth Pathway – a two-year funded programme that combines discernment and ministerial training and formation. Nigel Done (Diocesan Director of Ordinands) and Karen Hutchinson (Vocations Coordinator) will share information about this pathway and offer an opportunity for questions.
Who is this event suitable for?
This session is particularly designed for incumbents and others in parish ministry teams who are considering encouraging existing lay leaders into local ordained ministry. It is also suitable for those sensing a call to ministry who have heard of the pathway and want to find out more.

The session will be held online via Zoom on Tuesday 20th January, and will run from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. You will be sent the link to join ahead of the event.

Your Hosts
Revd Nigel Done is responsible for guiding the Diocese’s candidates for ordained ministry through the processes of discernment and the pre-ordination phase of their training until first appointment.
Revd Canon Karen Hutchinson supports and enables the growth of vocations to a range of ministries. She is also Associate Priest in the parish of Bemerton and a former archdeacon.
