Based in Stour Vale benefice, the course comprises ten practical sessions to equip those engaging in pastoral ministry.
Course description
This course is required for those considering becoming Lay Pastoral Assistants, but will also help you develop general pastoral skills in other aspects of life and ministry. Following the popular Diocesan Handbook you will use Scripture, case studies and group discussion to reflect on your own journey of life and how you accompany others on theirs.
Who is this course suitable for?
Anyone sensing that God might be calling you to develop their pastoral skills to use in your ministry as a Christian. You will need your parish priest’s support to enrol on this course, so have a conversation with them first.
When and where?
All sessions take place at The Vicarage, Kington Magna.
1st May, 10am-11.30am.
Additional Safeguarding training and a DBS check will also be required for those hoping to be commissioned as Lay Pastoral Assistants.
