Course description
This full day course will be delivered by the SDBE team to equip you to know what being a church school looks like in the current culture and equip you to know how to support and effectively challenge your local school. The course is open for anyone in The Diocese to book who is working with or would like to start working with their local school and building the relationship between school and church.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand what it means to be a church school in 2025, how is this monitored and what does this look like on a daily basis.
- Discuss and explore how the church can support schools in practically, through governance, collective worship and religious education.
- Understand the role of the SDBE in supporting schools and churches involved in schools.
- Be equipped with tools and ideas to get more involved in your local school.

Tuesday 21st October 2025: St James Church Centre, Southbroom, Devizes (in person) – 9:00-16:30
