The team at The Vale of Pewsey are hosting a PSO meet-up for those who work in Safeguarding in the Pewsey area. This will be a good opportunity for local Safeguarding Officers and DBS administrators to meet face-to-face.
Who can attend?
Anyone who works in Safeguarding in the Pewsey Deanery. The Pewsey Deanery is made up of the following Benefices:
- Vale of Pewsey
- Savernake

What to expect from the meet-up
Our hope with this meet-up is that it will be a space for all the PSOs across the Pewsey deanery to meet one another, network, provide mutual support, and be an opportunity to ask any questions or feedback to us on what are some of the difficulties that you are facing and any additional support that would be helpful from the diocesan team. I would like to reassure you that this would not involve any additional work on your part, and we hope that in setting these up, they will become a space for giving and receiving mutual support from each other alongside support from the diocesan team.
The PSO meet-up will be a good opportunity to receive mutual support on the safeguarding systems (Dashboard, Hubs, 31:8).

Rachel Duff (PSSAs) will attend the meeting to provide support.
Please note, the content of these PSO meet-ups follow closely to the regular PSO inductions we hold during the year. Therefore, we will be counting attendance at these PSO meet-ups as attendance of the PSO inductions as well. For any PSO who needs to attend a PSO induction, you can use the date of the PSO meet-up as the completion date.
