The team at St Johns, Wimborne are hosting a coffee morning for those who work in Safeguarding in the Wimborne area. This will be a good opportunity for local Safeguarding Officers and DBS administrators to meet face-to-face.
Who can attend?
Anyone who works in Safeguarding in the Wimborne Deanery. The Wimborne Deanery is made up of the following Benefices:
- Alderholt
- Canford Magna
- Colehill
- Corfe Mullen
- Hampreston and Ferndown
- Knowlton Circle
- New Borough and Leigh St John
- Verwood
- West Moors
- West Parley
- Wimborne Minster and Wimborne Villages

What to expect from the coffee morning
Our hope with this meet-up is that it will be a space for all the PSOs across the Wimborne deanery to meet one another, network, provide mutual support, and be an opportunity to ask any questions or feedback to us on what are some of the difficulties that you are facing and any additional support that would be helpful from the diocesan team. I would like to reassure you that this would not involve any additional work on your part, and we hope that in setting these up, they will become a space for giving and receiving mutual support from each other alongside support from the diocesan team.
The coffee morning will be a good opportunity to receive mutual support on the safeguarding systems (Dashboard, Hubs, 31:8) and to discuss the barriers you are experiencing with volunteers completing their safeguarding training.
Jess Sargeaunt and Rachel Duff (PSSAs) will attend the coffee morning to provide support.
