From the Italian Futurists who glorified speed and noise, to the 2024 Turner Prize winner who draped a doily over a Ford Escort, artists have used cars in many and sometimes strange ways. In the Art Deco era of the 1920’s the great car builders and coachbuilders created cars that can be described as works of art in their own right.
From the BMW ‘Art cars’ of the 1970’s and beyond to sculptures that may upset some VW enthusiasts, this talk will showcase the beautiful and the bizarre, celebrating the dynamic, creative, and sometimes unsettling relationship between cars and art.
At The Old Brewery the kitchen and bar will be open from 5pm – 7pm, for food and drinks. Call in for supper and explore the amazing displays of classic motorbikes.

About the Salisbury Sudan Medical Link
The Salisbury Sudan Medical Link (SML) supports the Episcopal Church in South Sudan (ECSS) in delivering healthcare to its people and local communities. This is mainly through the provision of consignments of medicines to 16 primary healthcare clinics. In addition, individuals and parishes sponsor and fund the training of clinical officers, nurses and midwives for suitably qualified Christian students.
The Medical Link is part of the wider Salisbury-Sudans Partnership.
